Treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis

In this section, I have reviewed and compared several e-books on Bacterial Vaginosis.  I have personally read them and posted my thoughts and reviews for each, some of the factors I looked at consisted of thoroughness of research, understanding the disease, treatment options, prevention of recurrence etc. Please read through them and decide which one would work best for you.

The BV Miracle

The BV Miracle was created by a long time bacterial vaginosis sufferer.  In it she discusses everything she learned in her 6 years of trying to find a solution to bacterial vaginosis.

The author talks about who is most at risk for bacterial vaginosis and the reasons for this.  Next she goes over the causes and diagnosis for BV.

The book then goes over the various treatment options (like antibiotics) that are generally prescribed by the doctor and talks about each of their pros and cons.  The next section is dedicated to dealing with BV when you are pregnant and what are some best ways to prevent this.

The author talks about the various ways one can boost their immune system and prevent recurring infections.  There is also a great section with some tips that helped the author to overcome the dreaded itching and burning that accompany this condition.  She also goes over some popular everyday products that women use including soaps and lotions that should be avoided.

We also see the connection between BV and sexual practices and how they can lead to infections and how to prevent this.

Overall The BV Miracle is a well-written, well-researched book that provides many different solutions and treatment options for BV. It also has a very useful section for remedies of burning and itching that most sufferers face.

Natural Bacterial Vaginosis Cure

This is another book that I had read and is a fairly comprehensive book too.  It contains a useful table that compares the differences between the 4 major infections including BV, UTI, Yeast infections and Trichomoniasis.

We get to learn about the symptoms, causes, effects and how the disease can be transmitted.  There is also a section that mentions some of the diagnostic tools that are available in the market which can help you to self-diagnose the disease.

Finally we get to the meat of the book that talks about the various treatment options.  Various foods to avoid are mentioned and an analysis of the main antibiotics that are generally prescribed for BV infections and goes over some side-effects.

This book contains the 3-Day relief for Bacterial vaginosis section where the author gives a step by step breakdown on how to treat BV and also some lifestyle changes that would aid in the treatment and prevent recurrence.  There are some more alternate home remedies mentioned with information on ‘how-to’ for each.

There are in-depth tips and ways on how to prevent recurrent bacterial vaginosis and has a lot of helpful suggestions.

The book ends by listing useful resources that are available on the web for BV sufferers.  This ebook is around 60 pages long.

In the end I think both books are helpful and there is something to take away from each of them. Please go see a doctor to confirm this condition and get diagnosed, the books are meant to help you through the condition and give you a better understanding of this disease so that you don’t feel overwhelmed.
